IELTS Reading Task
1. IS THERE ANY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN IELTS GENERAL – AND ACADEMIC TRAINING SEGMENT?
Understand one thing. Only the listening and speaking parts of IELTS remain the same for both IELTS – Academic & IELTS – General Training applicants. Thus, reading and writing tests for both are different in terms . So, considering the IELTS Reading module, the passages and questions in the general IELTS general education module are easier.
2. WHAT TO SUPPOSE IN THE READING PASSAGES?
Texts in IELTS – General Training are informative; these are the types of texts that you will find in notifications, advertisements, newspapers, and so on. IELTS, on the other hand, is an academic topic that is primarily an academic type that is derived from original sources such as journals, journals, and so on. different types and can also include a chart display. Also, if technical terms are used in the piece, you will be presented with a dictionary. Although previous knowledge of the topics is not required. And, there are 3 sections in IELTS – Academic Reading exam and in IELTS – general reading exam.
3. WHAT IS THE TOTAL TIME LENGTH OF THE IELTS READING EXAM?
The total time length for the IELTS Reading exam is 60 minutes (1 hour). So, keep in mind that if you are writing your answers on the question paper, you would not get any extra time to copy your answers to the answer page.
4. WHAT ARE THE CATEGORIES OF QUESTIONS IN THE IELTS READING TEST?
The IELTS – Reading exam contains more questions rather than resolving just Multiple-Choice Questions. You also have questions asking you to matching features & sentence endings, identifying writer claims/views, identify information, sentence completion, matching information & headings, summary/note/flowchart completion, diagram labeling and short answer questions. There are a total of 40 questions of several types as mentioned above in the IELTS Reading exam.
6. IS ANYONE ALLOWED TO WRITE ON THE READING QUESTION PAPER?
Yes, anyone is allowed to write and make underline the important facts on the question paper. You can also note, mark points or write on any part of the question paper. Note that the only your answer sheet will be going to score marks. As a result, writing on question paper make easy to write on answer sheet.
7. HOW ARE THE IELTS READING EXAM SCORES CONSIDERED?
You will score out of 40. The score is then transformed into an IELTS band score according to an IELTS Band Calculator. As a result, it changes are different for both the General & Academic Training modules.
